Use Baskets for texture and storage
Using baskets, are great in a kitchen for texture and storage.. they are one of the few items, that not only look nice, but are useful!
You can find them everywhere in all kinds of sizes, you can get them in decorating stores, as well as the dollar store.
You can get flat backed ones, that you can hang on the wall, or use them on shelves, they are also great for CD's and DVD's.. anywhere, where there is a chance of clutter, or just to keep things tidy, try using them.
They are perfect for magazines, newspapers, and all those pens, clips and school forms that end up on the end of your counter..
If you have space over your cupboards, as some people do, this is a great opportunity for chic looking storage. Using rectangle containers, that look the same, you can use them for all your tablecloths and seasonal kitchenware, things you don't need very often.. this is better than trying to stuff them in a drawer, leaving you more space for other daily use items.
Decluttering has been known to relieve stress, and the kitchen is not immune to this.. Clutter builds up quick, so deal with papers as they come in, and at least put them in a basket to sort out later.
