Fruitcake

What are the holidays without the traditional fruitcake?

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 (28 ounce) jar prepared mincemeat pie filling 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 1 cup chopped walnuts 2 cups candied mixed fruit

Instructions:

Grease the cake pans and line with wax paper. Sift flour and baking soda together. Mix together mincemeat, eggs, milk, fruit and nuts in a large bowl. Add the flour gradually to the mixture. Pour into your prepared pans (look for fun wreath shaped cake pans if you're gift giving your fruit cake!) Bake for 2 hours at 300 degrees F, tops will be golden brown. Cool on wire rack and remove wax paper.
