Do it yourself.. kitchen design, is a great way to get ideas, and to see what would work in your own kitchen.

Below, I have found books by designers of Kitchens and bathrooms, to give you some idea of what you are looking for. Sometimes you just have to see a great picture to spark an idea, so reasearch is the key.

The books above are a great way to go, but also consider getting yourself a 3D kitchen design CD. You can input your measurements, and actually see what your kitchen would look like. These are great tools, and should be part of your research, for your kitchen project. Below are some 3D design packages I have organized from Ebay.
